Providing the Best Service is Personal
We strive to be the best tutoring company for you!
Dr. Anne Allbright
Founder & Managing Director
Hello, I am Dr. Anne Allbright, the founder of Tutor Around. At Tutor Around, I am part of a team of highly qualified instructors. For the past 20 years, I’ve provided personalized education for adults and students within the home setting. Additionally, I’ve worked at schools and educational institutions all the way from elementary school to university entry programs and beyond. I continue with teacher recruitment for schools in India, the UK, US, Hong Kong, among other regions.
I wanted a simple and easy platform to market myself and find potential clients nearby and online without relying on agencies to promote my services. Tutor Around, a Tutor finder app, is my solution. My ongoing goal for all Tutors and students alike, is to simplify this process and cut out the middle-person, passing the savings on to us. Now, Tutors can stay true to their independent rate, and students can get the most out of their investment. My hope is that you become part of our community and come to believe that we are the best tutoring company to work for if you provide tutoring. Or as a student, you discover excellent Tutors online and nearby to fit all your needs. There is a freelance Tutor waiting for you!
Garima Sarin
Digital Marketing Manager
Namaste! I am Garima Sarin, Digital Marketing Manager for Tutor Around. I live in Hong Kong and work remotely for Tutor Around. My work revolves around setting up all Digital Marketing strategies which include Content planning and creation, SEO for the website and Social Media marketing. Apart from these tasks, I am always open to help in the growth of Tutor Around.
I think Tutor Around has been started with a very thoughtful idea and could lead to a great platform for people who really want to learn and grow themselves. I highly believe in this famous saying “Develop a passion for Learning. If you do, you will never cease to grow”. This has inspired me personally so much that led me in switching my Career from Market Research to Digital Marketing with just constant learning and passion for improving skills. One should always seek the higher version of themselves during every stage of life, therefore learning never stops whether you are at 20 or 80 years of age.
My mother was a primary school teacher and a life time student as well. I still often see her learning new cooking recipes from youtube videos and trying different cuisines. In India, where I am from originally, we have a very rich food culture with nearly 31 cuisines. Many families in India are yet not open to allow women going out for 9-10 hours long corporate jobs. But women are really very talented in India. If given a platform like Tutor Around, one that provides tutoring opportunities, they can provide tutoring classes, including online cooking lessons. This enables them to earn a side income, which will definitely improve their position in the society.

Matteo Dall’Asta
Language Arts Interpreter and Translator
Ciao! I am excited to be a part of Tutor Around because I believe it is the best tutoring company to work for in many respects. In full disclosure, I am Anne’s husband. I wouldn’t work so hard for her if I didn’t believe in her vision for this company. It is afterall a job on top of my full-time job. Regardless, Tutor Around is an excellent fit for me and I want to play my part in helping advance our mission, provide more learning opportunities while making a positive impact on our world.
I am quad lingual and a lover of languages, travelling, photography and history. I largely oversee the Italian market, but I also play a role in other linguist demographics as well, such as French, Russian and English. Because of this, I am the Language Arts Interpreter and Translator at Tutor Around. While I don’t do all the translations, I help oversee that literal linguistic translations aren’t applied, but instead that our content appeals in a more natural way. As we further develop our cultural travelling offerings, I will play a strong role in this capacity too, since it complements my greatest joy, exploring new regions and revisiting others.
Tutor Around places a great deal of importance on language learning and educational travel, which reflects my world view. I have visited over 40 countries and often take walking tours to learn more about local life and the history of the place I am visiting. I also love partaking in wine classes and tours, learning about Italian wines, but wineraries of other countries as well. Recently we traveled to Napa Valley and Sonoma and we learned a lot while having a great time!
Most importantly, my language skills help me on a daily basis. I work in three of my four languages everyday and on occasion in my fourth language, Russian. Being able to communicate with people in their native language or a shared language also helps me form a connection to a place and its people. Communicating provides me with more insights as I travel and explore foreign cultures. I owe much of this to foreign language Tutors who have helped me develop effective communication skills. My career advancement is reflected in my dedication to continued adult learning.
I like that Tutor Around strongly encourages all fellow team members to teach in some capacity. If we are going to be providing advice to Tutors and advice to Students, it helps tremendously if we are both a Student and a Tutor ourselves. Therefore, I am also a freelance Tutor looking for tutoring opportunities. I provide historical walking tours of Milan, Lodi and Nice, among other places. At the same time I provide onsite photography lessons to beginners.
Tutor Around makes it easy for me to create a tutoring profile for students to search and find, but also for me to find students on Tutor Around’s job board. Also, as a member I can have a Student account and create a job listing. I am strongly considering either learning Spanish or Japanese as my next language and our app makes it easy for me to find a Tutor.

Eduardo Alva López
Project Manager
¡Hola! I am Eduardo Alva López, Tutor Around’s project manager. I make sure our app is discovered around the world, recruiting top-rate Tutors and finding students who are trying to attain their fundamental human right: quality education.
I am convinced that education is not only a right, but a necessity for every person’s intellectual and emotional development. Because of this, my mission is to help Tutors and students by introducing them to Tutor Around and letting them know who we are and how they can benefit from our Tutor finder app.
Before being a part of Tutor Around I used to teach English and worked as a substitute teacher in my former international school in Mexico City. In my formative years, I had the enormous privilege of having a teacher as a father, who taught at the same school I attended. I would wait for my father after meetings and go to his private after school chess club, I learned from him and later became his personal assistant. The chess club did not discriminate, it included kids from all ages and learning capacities. Often parents thanked my father for the behavioral and academic improvement of their children. While this fulfilled my father a great deal, I also came to understand how many extra hours of work are needed to be a teacher and to put bread on our table. Just like my father, many teachers partake in extracurricular activities and tutoring to supplement their income.
I strongly believe that Tutor Around is a tool that allows a fair mutual exchange that will benefit both students and Tutors. Finding local and online Tutors is now directly at your fingertips!

Day Jones
Senior Associate
My name is Day Jones and I am a Senior Associate at Tutor Around. I was born in the US, but grew up in Saudi Arabia, where my father worked for many years. Growing up abroad played a major role in shaping my world view and like many third culture kids, I am a firm believer in the benefits of having an international mindset and in the notion that others, with their differences, can also be right.
I have been an educator for some 40 years and have had the privilege of teaching at all levels from Kindergarten to graduate school. I started my career as a teacher of Italian when I was a graduate student in the US and later moved to Egypt to teach English as a foreign language.
Later still, I moved to Milan, where I taught both English and Italian as second languages before moving into school administration. In the 1990’s I returned to the US for two years to work on my doctorate in education, specialising in bilingualism and second language acquisition and to teach academic writing at the university where I was studying.
I have been a principal and a head of school in a number of different schools. I was passionate about my role as head of school as it gave me the opportunity to implement my studies in education in a real life setting and to introduce best practices in education with the goal of creating models of educational excellence within communities of learners. I have collaborated for a number of years with the International Baccalaureate Organisation as a school evaluator, workshop leader and consultant, a role that has given me the opportunity to visit a wide variety of schools in many different countries in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, each of which has allowed me to learn something new about teaching and learning.
In my role as a school administrator I have interviewed and hired literally dozens of teachers over the years, and I like that this app helps school administrators find teachers without having to pay incredibly high fees though education recruitment agencies. I have always maintained that choosing the right staff is one of the most important and critical responsibilities of school directors. Interviewing teachers who apply for Ambassador status will be one of my roles with Tutor Around in addition to general administrative duties in the company. I am excited about working on this new project, which holds great promise for bringing educators and learners together and supporting them to achieve their goals.

Salma Falah
Brand Marketing Intern &
Cultural Ambassador
Salam! My name is Salma Falah, I am a Brand Marketing Intern and a Cultural Ambassador at Tutor Around. I have lived and taught in the capital city of Morocco, Rabat, where I have worked as a foreign language Tutor for three years, during which my passion for education has not softened a bit. On the contrary, teaching more than 400 students from different age groups and various backgrounds made me realize the power that education has in helping learners attain their potential and become engaged citizens.
My initial goal joining the teaching workforce was limited to teaching English as a foreign language to Moroccan students. Two years later, that small goal transformed into education policy making. This is why I am currently residing in Budapest, pursuing my studies in Business Administration and Marketing Management in order to gain more analytical capacity to help provide the best tutoring services and play a part in shaping our future. To complement my studies and interests, I have a remote internship with Tutor Around.
I share similar objectives and beliefs with Tutor Around, especially in regards to globalization and its impact on education. Because of our interconnected world, we need to become increasingly aware and open to understanding various cultures. One way to do this is through cultural and educational travel and educational experiences. We all have a social responsibility to the betterment of the entire world and education gives us the tools we need to have a meaningful impact.
I strongly believe that Tutor Around is taking Education to the next level. Our app helps connect thousands of highly qualified Tutors with learners around the globe. Our professional Tutors provide the best resources and guidance to help those achieve their fullest potential.
